Ellie is a 1-year-old chocolate Lab who came to us as a stray. When she first arrived, her world was full of fear. She had no experience with gentle hands or human kindness, and she was completely shut down.
But in just two short weeks, this brave girl has shown us what a loving heart she has. With patience and care, Ellie has gone from hiding in the corner to leaning in for pets and seeking out affection from our staff and volunteers. She is still shy, but she is so quick to trust once she knows you’re safe.
Ellie is blossoming into the dog she was always meant to be — loyal, tender, and full of love. She deserves a home where she can continue to build her confidence and experience the joy of being a cherished family member for the very first time.
