This adorable 3-year-old dachshund/beagle mix is stealing hearts left and right here at the shelter 💕 Malibu came to us with her best buddy, and while her journey hasn’t been the easiest, she’s proving every single day just how resilient and loving she truly is.
Malibu is currently heartworm positive—but here’s the good news: she has already started her treatment, and all of her medical expenses are fully covered by the shelter. With her young age and otherwise healthy condition, her prognosis is excellent! Heartworm treatment is very manageable—it simply requires some medication and a period of rest while her body heals. Think of it as a short chapter of quiet recovery before a lifetime of happy, healthy memories 🐾
And trust us… she is SO worth it.
Malibu is a sweet, gentle girl who absolutely adores attention. She has that perfect mix of playful charm and cuddly affection that makes you fall in love instantly. Everyone here has a soft spot for her, and we know her future family will too.
All she needs now is someone willing to give her a cozy place to rest, a little patience during her recovery, and a whole lot of love. In return, she’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, joy, and companionship 💖
UPDATE: 4-27 Malibu is on a wonderful foster home while she recovers from her heartworm treatment. A meet and greet will need to be coordinated with the Foster Family.
