Trixie is a 42 lb Australian husky mix. We estimate her to be one year and 4 months old.
She is scheduled to get spayed on Monday, August 4th.
Trixie is heartworm positive. The Humphreys County Humane Society pays for the treatment. She will be on a pretreatment plan for 30 days, and then will have the actual treatment. We sure hope she has found her forever home before her actual treatment because it’s very harsh on a dog and they need to be in a quiet place for 4 to 6 weeks and recover with very little exercise.
Sweet Trixie was owner surrendered.
She is learning to be a great leash walker.
She doesn’t soil in her kennel with regular outings.
She appears to do well with other dogs.
We have not had children recently at the shelter so we can’t let you know how she does with kids. And it is difficult do a true “cat test” in a shelter environment.
We do know this girl is bursting with love.
She can’t get enough one on one time. She loves to be petted and touched.
